The Position

The Shipping Clerk will report directly to the Chief Inspector. This individual will be responsible for the packaging and shipping of units to customers and final shipment review of all outgoing items/units. This Individual will also be responsible for processing all incoming shipments and assisting with job creation.

Essential Functions

Perform inspection of a part, component assembly, article or material before sending to a vendor, supplier or customer upon request.Identify correct packaging techniques to prevent damage during transport. Determine and verify that the correct part, component assembly, article or material and the quantity of such items are accurate.Take pictures of all outbound items and correctly upload them to the designated storage location.Maintain documentation related to part, component assembly, or article in accordance with Quality Assurance procedures.Maintain stock on all items required to ship items out of the facility. This will include but is not limited to boxes, foam, packaging, labels, etc.Process and complete shipping labels using the specific carrier requested and their related software (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.)Process inbound shipments and receive items as necessary.Perform Receiving Inspection as required.Assist with creating internal work orders that comply with all customer requests.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to lift 75 lbs. when needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30. This start/end time will need to be flexible depending on work load.

Required Education And Experience

Minimum of High School Diploma/GED required.Related Shipping and Receiving experience.
