Catering & Event Producer

ROLE DESCRIPTION:This is a full-time role for a Catering Event Producer based in Los Angeles. The Catering Event Producer will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day event planning, budgeting, client relationship maintenance, event management and oversight from conception to execution. This role leads and manages all points of client communication from time of event prospect to event day and coordinates internally with multiple internal counterparts and external vendors through event day. The ideal candidate has culinary knowledge and over 3 years direct experience with event planning and production. This role is supported by an Administrative Event Coordinator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Interprets the vision of clients (experiential companies, luxury brands, private individuals) and interprets into curated menu (food and beverage) in tandem with culinary and creative teamResponsible for creating compelling proposals on multiple projects in a very timely mannerAble to ‘speak the language of food’ and holds culinary knowledge and interest.Manages site visits and coordinates walk-throughs with appropriate partiesIndependently manages and meticulously coordinates rental orders from the simple to the complex, turnkey event rentals as necessary per each eventAttends rental installations as neededExperienced with interpreting floor plans, diagrams, design decksThis role is responsible for communicating and coordinating all event needs internally ("look and feel" of all deliverables)Responsible for processing internal / external correspondence, creating and managing all BEO’s are accurate and working with a sense of urgency and accuracyRole is responsible for managing weekly production meeting and communicating all project management needs within intracompany team membersAttend and manage event set up, client relationship management on site (as needed)Provide excellent customer service and expertise to clients and advising them through all stages of event development Uphold organization policies and standards set forth in handbook and by management

QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE:MUST have direct catering, event production/planning experience. This qualification is a requirement.Exhibit superior communication skills, both written and verbalMinimum 3 years experience in event planning and production Comprehensive knowledge of off-site catering, event productionExcellent project management and time management skillsMust have experience working with MAC computer systems and have excellent knowledge utilizing: Microsoft Office/Word, Excel, PowerPoint, DropboxProfessional, positive-attitude, responsible and enthusiastic team playerThrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, performing well under tight deadlines without compromising quality of workEvent management expertise, including the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously all at different stages in event cycleExtremely detail orientedIntrinsically creativeSelf-motivated, thrives with taking initiative and problem solvingAbility to plan, service and supervise simple to complex events equallyResourceful and able to adapt well with the unexpected (norm for events)Ability to manage confidential information and maintain its integrityExperience in the Food and Beverage or Hospitality industry is a plus Local travel is requiredPay is DOE
