📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Your new companyI am partnered with a Construction Manager & General Contracting firm that has serviced the NYC market for over 100 years, providing construction management, pre-construction, and sustainability services to a broad range of clients across the residential, commercial and public realms.
Focused towards interior public works projects with ample experience in the private sector. They have built for the following institutions: West Point, NYU Langone, Target, Live Nation, and NYC Dept of Parks to name a few.
Your new roleThey are looking for a Senior Estimator with 10 or more years’ experience to join their current team within pre-construction. The day-to-day will include breaking down construction drawings and blueprints, evaluating the project scope, completing site walkthroughs to further evaluate the project, manage RFI’s and RFP’s, and completing quantity take-offs across all trades. You will then reach out to subcontractors in correlating pricing, along with utilizing historical pricing from current and past projects.
What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will have 10+ years’ experience working in a GC/CM environment bidding a range of public and private works valued in excess of $15M independently. You will be competent across a number of contract types from GMP, to lump-sum and conceptual works. Having a solid subcontractor network, along with experience across OST, Planswift, Bluebeam, or Procore is advantageous.
