📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Your new company:Representing a 50+ year established real estate developer, owner, and operator are looking to hire a Junior Designer/Space Planner to their team. This is a brand new position being hired due to the fantastic performance and growth of the team. Successful applicants will have with 1-4 years of design or space planner experience within a construction, architecture or real estate company or have an education in design/architecture and spent time in the construction and real estate industry.
Your new role:Meet with potential and existing clients to determine space plan requirements.Develop a space plan based on those requirements.Generate pricing drawings to forward to Interior Construction Department to prepare construction estimate.Prepare final set of drawings for construction and permitting purposes.Meet with clients to select finishes.Coordinate planning and construction process with all vendors.Coordination between the Leasing Department and Interior Construction DepartmentUpdate and organize existing CAD/Revit drawings and tenant files located on the company network.Coordinate with office staff to ensure current and prior drawing files are organized and up to date.Potential on site meetings at client locations or within the existing portfolio to impact drawings.
Successful applicant requirements:1-5 years of construction of design or space planner experience. Experience could have been with a real estate company, construction general contractor or design firm.Bachelor’s degree in ideally in design but also open to Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Business Management if you have experience in using Revit and AutoCAD.Must be competent in using Revit and AutoCAD technology.Comfortable in travelling throughout the Northern Virginia (Loudoun County area) and Frederick County.
