Senior Wireless Engineer

Wireless Network Engineer III – Contract – Denver, Colorado – $55-65/hr

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Wireless Network Engineer III / Denver, CO / Perm.

Job Description: The Wireless Network Engineer will be responsible for performing planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for wireless network systems of high complexity. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing wireless network enhancements and making recommendations for improvement.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in wireless network planning, wireless network architecture design, and engineering.Integrate and schematically depict communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission, and signaling links and protocols into complete wireless network configurations.Evaluate new products and perform wireless network problem resolution.Develop and implement approved methods of procedure.Design, develop, and implement wireless network enhancements and make recommendations for improvement.

Required Qualifications:Proficient data wireless networking knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, etc.).Proficient knowledge of related wireless industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, 802.11 variants, Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet, and Transport technologies and protocols.Proficient knowledge in wireless network design, wireless network architecture, protocols, and wireless network topology.Proficient knowledge of basic wireless network devices and basic wireless network appliances.Proficient knowledge of wireless network designing software, such as Visio, and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.

Related Work Experience:5+ years of Wireless network experience.Cisco Certified Wireless network Professional (CCNP).Wireless industry and vendor-specific training (Cisco, Ariss, Ruckus, etc.).5-10 years of experience in the field.
