What you will do in this role

Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patientMeeting the Standards of Practice for the Emergency Department (ED) and managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipmentParticipate in activities to plan, measure, assess and improve the quality of patient careRoutinely provides triage assessment for patients presenting for treatmentRoutinely performs venipunctures for obtaining specimens for lab testsRoutinely provides intervention in emergency, life-threatening situationsAssumes the responsibility of charging the department, as needed

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree (BS) preferredCurrent Texas licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners as an RN. American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and CertificationAmerican Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and CertificationOne (1) year of Critical Care experience in ER or ICUAmerican Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification
