We are looking for a media communications leader to help drive PR and communication efforts for the Americas geography. The Americas is the largest geography for HCLTech, contributing nearly 60 percent of the company’s revenue. The individual in this role will help strengthen the positioning of HCLTech and help build close relationships with Tier One and trade media, and work with other key external stakeholders. You will work with the Head of Americas Marketing & Communications to manage the development, implementation and oversight of all PR programming. This person will partner with multiple business stakeholders across many business lines and enabling functions.In this role, you'll have the opportunity to create compelling stories about our business, growth, people, corporate culture and leadership practices. You will also serve as a trusted partner to leadership across the company and play an important role in supporting marketing campaigns as well as manage crisis communications.You will be working collaboratively with high-level executives and colleagues and consistently delivering high-quality work at pace. You will be creating media ready pitches, writing press releases, media materials, roundtable discussions and briefings. Preferred locations are Santa Clara, New York/New Jersey, but for the right candidate, we are flexible. Role & Key ResponsibilitiesProactively investigate developments within the organization and develop story ideas that can be realistically pushed out to mainstream news outlets.Act as principal writer and editor for the communications requirements of Americas team – and write press releases and other media communicationsRun point on client outreach, deal win PRs, strategic announcements, reporting, crisis and other media initiativesHelp with other strategic initiatives as and when needed, including help with corporate level DEI communications in the US, client-facing pitches and visits to our experience centers in the US and corporate townhalls (virtual as well as in-person).Help manage PR agency and freelancer(s) relationship.Establish and strengthen relationships with B2B technology/business focused media publications and reporters. May also involve some local media relations.Assist in some executive profile/eminence building through byline articles, social media and positioning for key speaking engagements at events.Assist with social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram in providing fresh content in alignment with organizational objectives and strategic editorial calendar.Maintain cross functional partnership with global marketing, creative, social, and global communications teams to ensure alignment, use and approval of messages/assetsLead impact reporting.
Requirements: -8-10 years marketing communications and public relations experience, ideally within agency or B2B environment. Global experience preferred.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Journalism, Communications, PR or related fieldExtremely strong writing and copy-editing skillsPrior experience managing and working closely with external agenciesExperience working with media monitoring tools and platformsCollaborative influencing and leadership skills, as evidenced by the ability to motivate and build consensus and partnershipsAbility to communicate well with all levels of the organization Strong follow-up skills and attention to detailAbility to meet deadlines and motivate others
