📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Seeking an Inpatient Neurology PA to join our collaborative team |see patients independently with oversight| 7 on/ 7 off
We are currently hiring for a full-time Inpatient Neurology PA who wants to build a practice working in a collaborative, collegial work environment. We have a busy stroke program (Thrombectomy-capable center) and robust EEG capabilities (Level 3 Epilepsy Center).
About The Position
7 days on/ 7 days off 7a-7p No overnight call dutiesSees patients independently, with oversight from Neurology attendings and works with a small group of Neurologists providing consultations across the hospital, including the ER, Neurology floor, ICU, Medical and Surgical floors.Includes developing an assessment and plan, ordering diagnostic tests, coordinating plan of care with other services, and aiding in discharge planning.Minor procedures performed by the team include lumbar punctures and nerve blocks for headache.Average # of patients seen per day: 6-10Support staff includes 50 RNs/20 PCAs, 2 dedicated case managers (1 RN, 1 MSW) as well as PT and OT.Practitioners: 5 physicians, 1 APPAbility to obtain medical professional license in the State of WA and DEA with full prescriptive authorityMinimum of one year of clinical practice experience as an APP required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Neurology (outpatient or inpatient) strongly preferred but will consider those with any type of inpatient experience or those with outpatient experience only who are highly motivated.
