Position Summary: HCP’s Paralegal will have responsibility for a wide variety of contracting related task, including summarizing contract data, revising contracts, creating initial drafts of contract amendments, objection letters and contract edits, preparing PowerPoint presentations on various legal topics, conducting legal research, and organizing and managing contract data.

Essential Position Functions/Responsibilities:Develop and maintain procedures for contractual, regulatory and legislative compliance tracking and monitoring.Work in liaison with contracted legal team for contract review and legal escalation by providing administrative support and oversight.Assist in drafting, reviewing, and redlining contracts related to provider agreements.Work collaboratively with legal and business teams to ensure contractual terms align with company policies and regulations.Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting provider contracting.Support the development and maintenance of procedures for contractual compliance tracking.Organize and maintain accurate records of provider contracts and related legal documents.Ensure timely and efficient retrieval of contract-related information as needed.Serve as a point of contact between legal, business, and provider teams.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address legal queries and facilitate communication with external providers.Provide assistance in negotiations with providers, ensuring terms are clear, fair, and compliant with legal requirements.Aid in high level and ad hoc projects between departments. Other duties as assigned.Qualification Requirements:Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

Solid understanding of legal principles and contract law.Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, particularly in the managed care industry.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to effectively communicate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.Experience in facilitating communication between legal and business departments.Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Familiarity with legal document management systems.

Training/Education

Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or relevant work experience, required Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification, preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Paralegal, preferably in healthcare or managed care.Experience in provider contracting or related legal support roles.Familiarity with the intricacies of healthcare provider agreements.

Salary Information:Annual Base Compensation: $73,000 - $92,000Bonus Incentive: Up to 5%, based on organizational performance
