📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Medical case workers (Program: High Needs Population Support). The Medical Case Worker will under professional direction, function as a member of a medical or psychiatric multidisciplinary team, providing services to patients and clients in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation, residential, or health care facilities.
Medical Case Workers for this position, under professional direction, function as a member of a medical or psychiatric multidisciplinary team, providing services to patients and clients in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation, residential, health care facilities, or RCCs and off site as needed for related programs. These positions receive professional supervision from a higher-level supervisor. Incumbents interview, counsel and assist patients/clients with social problems which may have a bearing on the patient's/client's illness, treatment, and recovery.
These positions may also assist with the patients transportation needs that may have a bearing on their medical care utilizing a County provided Vehicle
The positions will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and are initially funded through 12/31/2024, with the good chance of extension.
There are 4 open locations across LA County: (One MCW per 2 Service Planning Areas )

SPA 3/SPA 4 - San Gabriel Valley, Metro Los Angeles
SPA 5/SPA6 - West Los Angeles, South Los Angeles
SPA 7/SPA 8 - East Los Angeles, South Bay
Pay Rate
$28.71/hr

Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience providing services to patients and clients in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation, residential, or health care facilities.-OR-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of professional casework experience interviewing, counseling, and assisting patients/clients with social problems.A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
