Title: Senior Maintenance Worker

Location: Onsite to assigned program for the day

Shift: Monday to Friday (8:00am to 4:30pm)

Duties & Responsibilities

E nsures a decent, safe, and sanitary living environment within our residential facilities.Upkeeps mechanical systems at our SAFETy sites to guarantee optimal functionality.Coordinates and performs both scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks promptly and efficiently.Maintains accurate records, including occupancy reports, maintenance requests, and inventory of supplies.Conducts monthly inspections of participant units and buildings to uphold quality standards.Prepares vacant units thr ough tasks such as painting, carpeting, cleaning, and minor repairs. Assists in scheduling and monitoring repairs conducted by external contractors.

Qualifications

A High School Diploma, two (2) years of technical training, and three (3) years of relevant experience; or a High school diploma and five (5) years of relevant experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (K/S/A)

Access to regular, dependable, and timely transportation.Ability and comfortability working with people of varying socioeconomic backgrounds.Excellent communication skills. Strong networker, convener, relationship builder, and communicator with experience collaborating with diverse work teams and stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information possessing skills to handle situations professionally and diplomatically.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Inte rnet Explorer, Outlook/Exchange; Windows operating systems; and other software routinely used by Heartland Alliance. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated with minimal direct supervision.
