📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking a General Manager for a Fine Dining Restaurant in Montgomery, AL!
The General Manager leads all aspects of restaurant operations by leading the team in an open, positive and approachable manner. He/she monitors the restaurant in its entirety, controls reservations and seating and oversees menu changes in addition to hiring, training and developing all staff. He/she monitors the service and performance of the team and is able to anticipate guests’ needs to proactively and effectively to ensure guests’ total satisfaction. The General Manager leads daily meetings while fostering an educational and positive work environment. Minimum 2-years’ management experience in a high-quality restaurant is required.
Requirements:3+ Years GM experience in a Full - Service Restaurant.Stable job historyProven customer service experience as a managerExtensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and team membersFamiliarity with restaurant management software ie Margin Edge, Toast POSStrong leadership, motivational and people skillsAcute financial management skillsBSc degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plusResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operationsDeliver superior service and maximize customer satisfactionRespond efficiently and accurately to customer complaintsRegularly review product quality and research new vendorsOrganize and supervise shiftsAppraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivityEstimate future needs for products, kitchen utensils and cleaning productsEnsure compliance with sanitation and safety regulationsManage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve itControl operational costs and identify measures to cut wasteCreate detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expensesPromote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant eventsRecommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)Train new and current employees on proper customer service practicesImplement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
