Description
The Continuous Quality Improvement and Data Analytics unit of the Children and Family Services (CFS) division is seeking an Intermediate Administrative Assistant to help support and organize efforts related to the Hennepin County Child Well-Being Advisory Committee, and other improvement efforts. The individual hired is expected to promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Location and hours
This position is remote. Remote workers may be required to come on-site 0 to 12 days a year for work meetings, trainings, or for any other reasons that their supervisor may deem necessary (may include additional days for onboarding and new employee training). This position specifically requires attendance at an in-person meeting a minimum of 6 times a year in the Twin Cities area. Supervisors will provide as much advance notice as practicable. Work hours will typically be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. with some flexibility. Based on business needs of this position, hires must live in or relocate to Minnesota.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022, to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.

In This Position You Will
Coordinate with high level county and agency leadership related to the Hennepin County Child Well-Being Advisory Committee. Provide support to the Hennepin County Child Well-Being (CWB) Advisory Committee. Plan and create agendas, take notes, and schedule meetings for multiple stakeholders.Facilitate planning meetings, information sharing, and status updates on efforts.Manage document storage.Participate in the creation of annual reports.Provide support to the CFS Continuous Quality Improvement and Data Analytics unit.
Need To Have
One of the following: Bachelor's degree or higher in public administration, business administration, or other field appropriate to the position and two years or more of experience in general administrative work relating to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position. Six or more years of experience in general administrative work relating to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position.
Nice To Have
Experience:Organizing meetings with multiple partners, including coordinating schedules and meeting invites, securing meeting room space, compiling and distributing meeting materials and meeting notes, etc. Leading and motivating others to make consistent progress and facilitate completion of activities. Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word).
Ability to:Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to internal and external audiences.Work with employees at all levels of the organization, including upper management.Facilitate and present to a large group, potentially multiple stakeholders from various levels of the organization, system partners, and community agencies. Build and nurture a collaborative relationship with a variety of customers, partners, both internally and externally.Coordinate and organize within timelines.Work independently and facilitate work.Knowledge of SharePoint, site owner preferred.
