Project Engineer/Manager - Remote with Travel

Must be based near Milan, OH, Macon, GA, or Denver, CO. This role requires 30-50% travel.

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer who can work independently, is a self-starter, and capable of making decisions autonomously from a remote environment, as they will be managing capital projects up to $10M. Travel requirements may vary between 30-50%, depending on the plant and project demands.

As the Senior Project Engineer, your role will involve managing the execution of a diverse range of industrial manufacturing capital projects from inception to completion.

Your Responsibilities:Develop project scopes, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for multi-discipline industrial manufacturing capital projects worldwide, with values up to $10M.Provide project management and oversight for multiple project assignments concurrently, ensuring projects are driven to completion.Perform and/or review detailed engineering in one or more disciplines, coordinating company comments and resolving design issues with engineering firms and contractors.Design and specify safe equipment and processes, ensuring ergonomic considerations and identifying and eliminating potential safety and health hazards during project execution.Design and specify environmentally compliant equipment and processes, addressing permit requirements and identifying and addressing potential environmental issues during project execution.Mentor lower-level engineers.

Your Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering.10 or more years of engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing industry.5 years of project management experience, including managing projects up to $10M.Ability to travel up to 50% (domestic and international).Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project.Ability to work in a manufacturing facility, including exposure to environmental conditions and physical demands.

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, electrical, chemical, or materials engineering.Experience in fiberglass, glass, or roofing manufacturing industries.PMP Certification.SAP experience.Experience with writing, reviewing, and negotiating technical specifications and contracts.Experience with PHA, HazOp design reviews.AutoCAD experience.Experience with continuous process improvement (Lean) in an industrial/manufacturing environment.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, along with problem-solving, negotiating, and process troubleshooting skills.Drive and initiative to complete tasks and seek improvement opportunities.Ability to provide complex and innovative solutions to project and process engineering problems.Ability to identify scope interfaces and understand risk management principles to mitigate risk.
