This position will be to provide facilities, environmental, health and safety (EHS) support to the Medevio Fridley Collaboration Hub. This is a hands-on role including general building maintenance, responding to employee facility related requests, and EHS related activities and requests such as safety hazard responses and supporting site compliance with EHS standards.

The following challenges await you

Serve as first line of support for most facility requests and responses. Promote a culture of EHS ownership and accountability for safety of all workers and protection of the environment. Establish a close working relationship and communicates with the EHS Manager, department managers, supervisors, and co-workers to achieve overall business objectives pertaining to Environmental Health and Safety. Support Facilities Manager in ensuring compliance with all EHS laws and regulations. Uses software system to track completion of facility and EHS work orders. Assist organization in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities. Supports development, implementation, and regular updates of EHS risk assessments. Leads and/or supports regular EHS site committee meetings. Performs regular facility walk-through inspections to identify hazards, document findings, recommend corrective actions and implement or ensure corrections have been made. Support with accident investigation and assist in implementing corrective actions. Helps with organization of the pilot production areas in keeping our processes efficient and effective. Coordinate EHS-related measurements and calculations for air emission, wastewater, industrial hygiene and decarbonization efforts. Help analyze data/trends to lessen injury rates and improve other aspects of facility performance. Ensures site’s emergency preparedness through emergency drills and training sessions. Completes ongoing training to remain current regarding applicable EHS standards and regulations. Supports site with needed activities during weather events. Familiarity with MS Office programs as well as a structured and independent way of working. Demonstrates safe work habits, maintain clean and safe work area. May perform other duties as assigned by manager or the company.

Your profile

HS Diploma required; Additional relevant training or education desired. A minimum of two years of relevant facilities, EHS or other relevant technician level experience required. Must be comfortable with a service role and negotiating successful outcomes to requests. Demonstrated commitment to ensuring a safe work environment. Must have good verbal and written English communication skills. Must be willing and able to conduct a wide variety of responsibilities across facilities and EHS as needed. Must be willing and able travel between the Fridley and White Bear Lake sites as needed.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, stooping, sitting, and standing. Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors
