Responsibilities

Lead and manage design team to output high quality product design solutions for web and mobile productsOwn the design strategy and execution, build the best in class design practices, methodologies and systems in houseBuild efficient workflows to collaborate with product manager, engineer and marketing teams to maximize design impactMentor designers' day-to-day work, lead by example and help the design team grow in expertise and careerBuild a world-class design team with the founders through deep understanding of the sciences and arts of design, a sharp eye for talents and effective leadership style

Requirements

2+ years of design team management experience in a fast-growing tech startup, experienced in managing efficient output with a lean team and attracting top talentsExperienced in building collaboration with other teams with effective communication that optimize the team efficiency while maintaining a high bar for design qualityExperienced in owning design initiatives including product experience, branding or marketing campaigns, hands-on delivering high quality design solutionsTechnical understanding of front-end/back-end development with strong logic to lead the discovery of optimal design solutions with balanced pros and cons covering applicable edge casesProduct thinking that takes business and customer goals into consideration, take responsibility for the end user experienceSmooth and efficient team communication and collaboration, can align team quickly with goals and priorities and come up with satisfying design solutions to the team's challengesGood taste and standard of aesthetics, rich experience in visual design, insightful understanding of fundamental design elements like colors, fonts, textures and can compose world-class visual design language fluentlyOpen-minded, self-driven, strong learner, constantly on the front edge of the industry and brings the latest insights to the team
