We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the infrastructure automation team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation tools utilized by hundreds of engineers across the organization. You will collaborate closely with partner teams to gather requirements, provide feedback on existing systems, and design innovative solutions to enhance deployment efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automation tools for orchestrating the deployment of services across various regions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide feedback on existing infrastructure automation systems. Architect and implement innovative solutions to automate validation processes and enable fully-automated deployments. Develop and maintain integrations with *** proprietary and cloud-native deployment frameworks. Design and implement observability tools to enable application teams to collect telemetry and monitor the health of compute clusters. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of automation tools to meet the evolving needs of the organization. Provide technical guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in C#. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as ARM, Bicep, Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet. Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and related tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with *** proprietary deployment frameworks such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and Ev2 Familiarity with observability tools and practices such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required. 8+ years of experience required.

Candidate Requirements

Years of Experience Required: 8 to 10 overall years of experience in the field. Degrees or certifications required: A bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar field is required to be eligible for this role. Disqualifiers: None. Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain prior experience at *** as this can facilitate the onboarding process and they would have familiarity with the tools and processes. Another bonus is if they have built OPS tools in the past or have built tools around DevOps. Someone who knows how to write C and could theoretically build tools. Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on their ability to collaborate and communicate with their partner teams, meeting deadlines and the quality of work.
