A Brief Overview

The Physician Assistant will work under the collaboration of a physician and will be responsible to provide acute care evaluation, medical treatment for the patient as well as patient education and counseling.

What You Will Do

Inpatient rounds including daily notes, orders (including inpatient and PACU). Checking labs, pathology, CXR, consultations, admissions and discharge summaries and prescriptions.Conduct inpatient consultationsConduct outpatient consultations to include history, physical examinations, ordering lab, pathology, and/or patient records with dictations.Review of pre-operative record to include evaluations, lab, pathology, consultations and work-ups.Assist with the coordination of the operating room scheduleColposcopy and other office based proceduresResponsible for taking call on selected weekends and weekdays.All duties and responsibilities as listed above with the addition of OR surgical assistance with robotic and selected open/laparoscopic cases.

Education Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program, and be board certified as a Physician Assistant. Required

Experience Qualifications

1-3 years Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience. Required

BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required andACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required andPA - Physician Assistant Upon Hire Required
