As an Automation Field Service Technician at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our building automation systems. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top-notch service to our clients, contributing to the seamless operation of smart buildings, and championing Honeywell's commitment to excellence.
You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor, and can be located in the Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany, NY locations or surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on building automation equipment to ensure optimal functionalityDiagnose and troubleshoot issues promptly, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruptionsProvide on-site support to clients, addressing technical inquires, and offering guidance on system usageMaintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all service activities including installation records, maintenance reports, troubleshooting procedures, etc.Ensure proper use of safety and personal protection equipmentAcquire security and other clearances as required by customer

You Must Have
Technical and mechanical aptitudeExperience identifying and properly using trade tools appropriatelyAbility to work independentlySome knowledge of basic HVAC systems, sensors, or automation principalsAbility to travel throughout the service areaValid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell
We Value
2+ years of experience within the construction or field service industryTechnical degree or certification in relevant field (Electronics, HVAC, Electricity, etc.)Experience in controls, mechanical, fire and security industry.Experience dealing with customer satisfactionExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
The salary range for this position is $56,300 - $81,500. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
