Summary:This position is responsible for the overall maintenance, inspection, repair and installation of electrical equipment and other electric-related components of the plant. This individual will plan and schedule the process of conducting the equipment check-up and maintenance and must be knowledgeable in repairing and installing the needed material and equipment. Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, install and/or repair any instrument or electrical system up to 480V plus limited repairs to transformers and switchgear on systems of 2300 V and 13,800 V. This includes temperature, pneumatic and electrical pressure and flow control loops, process computer systems, weigh cells, power distribution systems, circuit breakers, motor control circuits and other systems such as Io-Link/Ethernet IP/Hart.Assemble automation components such as valves, actuators, and limit switches.Perform and/or coordinate preventative maintenance per schedule and/or standards and procedures including testing interlocks and performing calibrations as needed. This includes being able to accurately calibrate pH systems, flow systems, density systems, turbidity systems and conductivity systems.Develop and review related maintenance procedures.Ensure instrumentation calibrations are up to date with calibration schedule.Configure and troubleshoot Control Logix and or Compact Logix systems with support of control/process engineering.Prepare material and cost estimates for work orders for both capital projects and maintenance.Work with Maintenance Inventory Coordinator to order parts and ensure specifications of equipment are correct.Ability to set up and diagnose soft starts, VFD’s and motor control centers.Strong understanding of electrical schematics.Strong understanding of PLC controls.Responsible for documentation and document control.Problem solver with ability to create solutions to the challenges within a mid-sized, growing manufacturing environment.Demonstrated capability of meeting deadlines and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.Ability to travel at least 50% of the time to other Horizon Ag-Products multi-state locations.Project management skills, communication skills, team-based manufacturing, quality assurance, results oriented.

Qualifications & Requirements:Education: Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or similar degree and/or journeyman level electrician with a minimum of 3 years industrial plant experience preferred.3+ years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing facility or equivalent experience.General knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, piping, electrical and mechanical systems, and basic troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:Microsoft Office skills, specifically basic Excel experience.Previous experience in HART protocol, Io-Link and Ethernet IP experience a plus.Additional Information
