Horizon Productions is a fun, innovative, full-service media production company filled with creative folks who create high-end video, audio, motion graphics, virtual reality, and augmented reality (VR/AR) experiences for various clients. We are a pioneering team that strives to provide excellent customer service in all we do. We are located near Southpoint Mall, Durham, NC.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Horizon is seeking an Office Manager to become a key member of our team. We're looking for someone who thrives on assisting the team wherever possible, is motivated to give the best customer service at all times, and can set priorities and create processes to multitask effectively.Enjoys numbers, operations, and working with people!
Responsibilities:Day-to-day office management: (30%)
- Serve as the first point of contact at the office, answering the main phone and greeting guests.• Serve as the liaison with company vendors and the office park management team• Participate with the internal IT team • Purchase and organize office supplies, team snacks, and beverages• Maintain the company filing system to continue to evolve the office into a paperless environment• Provide administrative support • Arrange for company catering for production shoots and company events• Assist the Project Manager in booking crew travel as needed• Assist the President with contracts or other tasks as needed
Bookkeeping/Accounting: (50%)
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable and follow up on delinquent accounts• Actualize client projects utilizing time and expense entries from Teamwork - the company's project management system• Prepare and update various financial & sales reports on a monthly basis• Provide monthly profit and deferred revenue report (Actualization Totals)• Point person processing payroll through our third-party payroll provider• Oversee and assist in tracking and itemizing all expenses through receipts and credit card charges• Lead special office/financial projects as requested by the President
Human Resources: (20%)
- Provide onboarding support for all new employees• Stay up to date with current laws and regulations through training and in working with our Human Resources vendors• Be the point of contact for questions about the company's policies and benefits administration• Work with the team on culture and training opportunities
Qualifications and Requirements:• (5-10) years of experience providing high-level office support• Detail oriented• College degree preferred• Proficiency with Sage or other accounting software• Demonstrates the highest level of confidentiality and discretion• Knowledge of office equipment, management systems, and procedures• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work• Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills• A desire to organize, develop, and implement processes and procedures• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced skills in Word and Excel• Proficiency with Google Applications i.e. Google Docs, Google Calendar, Gmail, etc.• A can-do attitude and belief that no task is too big or too small• A genuine people person with a customer service mindset• A desire to be a difference-maker• Great sense of humor with the desire to help each employee and client as needed• Ability to quickly resolve issues as they arise• Ability to foster and create an atmosphere of teamwork
