City Experiences is seeking a Nightlife Security Officer for our City Cruises operation in NYC.
About The Opportunity
The successful Security Officer is responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, shipmates, guests and all visitors near and onboard vessels.
About You
This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform security patrols Enforce safety and security procedures Protect property from theft, sabotage, fire and accidents Assist with accident/incident investigations Assist with investigation of suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations Provide assistance to customers, shipmates, and visitors following the department's procedures Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements & Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalentMust be at least 21 years of ageGood working knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement proceduresSecurity and/or law enforcement experienceAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationshipsAbility to communicate effectively in oral and written formAbility to effectively deal with internal and external customers some of whom will require high levels of patience tact and diplomacyMust be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for an extended period of timeHearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency and safety-sensitive situations
