📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities

ABOUT HOT BREAD KITCHENHot Bread Kitchen’s mission is to create economic opportunity for women and gender-expansive people, immigrants, and people of color through culinary skills training, high-quality job placement, food entrepreneurship programs, small business guidance, and an ecosystem of support, utilizing New York City’s vibrant food industry as a catalyst for change.

THE OPPORTUNITY Hot Bread Kitchen seeks a detailed- and process-oriented Salesforce Administrator to continuously improve and enhance our Salesforce platform, gathering program and business requirements and feedback and designing best practice solutions. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform who can understand and build upon our current setup. The Salesforce Administrator should be comfortable liaising with program and development staff and enjoy learning new business processes in order to translate them into technical solutions. The Salesforce Administrator will report directly to the Director of Program Impact and Innovation and directly support the operations of the fundraising team.

RESPONSIBILITIESSystem Administration and MaintenanceEnsure optimal performance of Salesforce systems and related products (e.g. Form Assembly).Build or edit Salesforce reports and dashboards to assist with data requests from the program or development team.Communicate any and all platform changes to relevant staff in a timely manner.Proactively maintain the system and identify unused or underutilized platform features.Develop and deliver new user training for new staff and ongoing user training for existing staff.

System DevelopmentSeek to understand new programs, identifying and gathering process requirements, and translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience.

Data Quality AssuranceMonitor data quality and troubleshoot errors in Salesforce and Form Assembly, including flow of application, intake, and survey forms.Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed.

QUALIFICATIONSAt least 2 years of experience as a Salesforce administrator in a nonprofit setting, including building reports and dashboards, troubleshooting data quality issues, and customizing to meet business process requirements according to best practices.Experience with Form Assembly, including understanding of Salesforce connectors and troubleshooting integration errors.Ability to provide Salesforce training and end-user support.Strong project management skills with great attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple projects, set goals, and establish priorities.Dedication to Hot Bread Kitchen’s mission and values.

COMPENSATIONThis is a full time position. The salary range is $70,000 - $75,000 and is commensurate with experience. Hot Bread Kitchen’s comprehensive benefits package includes health/vision/dental insurance (available from day one!), 401K contributions, 16 days of paid office closure (including holidays, and staff appreciation days) and a one week holiday break at the end of the year, flexible vacation time, generous sick and paid family leave, and sabbatical program (after 5 years).
