📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Manufacturing company in Arcade, NY is hiring a CAD Designer to use 3D modeling software to create product drawings and provides engineering support to internal customers in sales and operations.
Primary Job Duties:Design manufacturing drawings using 3D modeling software based off customer designs, drawings or specifications.Create Bill of Materials and Machine Routers for fabricated and assembled products.Assist and coordinate with engineers, sales, production planning and manufacturing.Provide general engineering support for internal customers using a help ticket system.Identify, recommend, and/or draft product design improvements. Support new product development and design.Provide engineering expertise for company goals and projects.Oversee and/or perform product qualification and performance testing.Position may include other duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor and/or management.
Primary Competencies:Proficient with 3D modeling software and proper industry drawing conventions, preferably Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCad.Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office, video meetings and ERPs.
Qualifications:Associate’s degree in Engineering/Drafting or equivalent experience.One to two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; knowledge of pipes, valves and fittings preferred
