Job Summary

This duties of this position may involve operating machines for long periods and repetitive bending and lifting of 50 lbs frequently. Shifts may vary during a week and days off may not be consecutive. The Standby Operator covers down where there is the most need. There is no guarantee of what shift will be worked week to week but will be scheduled weekly.

Job Responsibilities

Daily Operations of filling and packaging equipment in a production line settingOperations of equipment in key areas of dairy processingCompliance with New York State regulationsAdherence to all plant GMP and sanitation policies.Compliance with all OSHA regulations as well as 100% plant safety policies.Following all guidelines and rules associated with local unions CBA.Operate a variety of tools and equipment; performs general plant cleaning and grounds maintenanceMaintain and complete required environmental and production paperwork. Accurate documentation.Establish and maintain working relationships with external agencies (sanitation authorities, equipment vendors, etc)Support SQF by completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.Maintain positive relationships with plant supervisors and managers

General

Education and Experience
