The Opportunity
We are looking for an accomplished and experienced Streaming Solution Architect to join our team. As a Streaming Solution Architect, you will design and implement end-to-end streaming solutions covering our client application development, data/API services and media technologies to enable the advancement of the QVC+ HSN+ Streaming Service. You will work with important partners, including business leaders, development teams, and infrastructure teams, to understand requirements and provide scalable streaming solutions.

What you will do
Solution Design: Collaborate with partners to architect end-to-end streaming solutions that meet requirements, considering factors such as scalability, reliability, performance, and security.Technical Expertise: Be the subject matter expert in streaming technologies, platforms, and best practices, staying updated with industry trends and advances. Provide guidance and recommendations on streaming technologies and frameworks. Advise on the advancement of Content Management Systems, API data layer and client technologies to enable scaling of platform.Architecture Development: Develop scalable architecture designs for streaming solutions with a focus on scaling and future growth and technical opportunities. Ensure the architecture aligns with business strategy and technical organization.Solution Implementation: Collaborate with development teams to oversee the implementation of streaming solutions, ensuring adherence to architectural design principles, best practices, and quality standards. Experience in Web, Android and tvOS development in the streaming environment.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field2+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or similar role, with a focus on streaming solutions.Knowledge of streaming technologies, platforms, protocols, and standards.Experience with streaming media servers, video players, CDN, transcoders, DRM, and content protection.Experience with streaming client development for streaming platforms; Roku, Fire TV, AppleTV, Samsung, Comcast, and Vizio.Proficiency in working with video codecs, adaptive streaming, and video delivery protocols.Familiarity with Azure media services and Azure technologies.Translate complex requirements into technical solutions.Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Experience in Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.Experience mentoring and guiding development teams in implementing streaming solutions.
