What We Are Seeking
Account managers at Huffman Insurance Agencies evaluate potential and existing customer needs and provide accurate quotes and advice to ensure proper coverage. They have the ability to multitask without losing focus and the ability to prioritize tasks. Part of being an account manager is the ability to educate customers on insurance needs and products, so great communication skills are a must. If you’re passionate about insurance and helping people, this hybrid role is perfect for you.
Job Responsibilities
Quote new business.Review existing customers’ portfolios and any rate changes for renewals.Handle any underwriting inquiries.Look for multi-lining opportunities for existing customers.Reengage past customers / prospects to requote business.Monitor, process, and resolve any billing items to ensure proper payment prior to cancellation.Update agency management system to ensure accurate and timely client information.Contribute to our seamless work environment by being a positive, supportive team member.Will consider captive insurance experience coupled with independent agency experience.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma (or equivalent)License: Property & Casualty (Any State)
Preferred Skills
Some College; No DegreeLicense: Property & Casualty (VA)Areas of Expertise: Builder’s Risk, Homeowners & Renters, Personal Auto, Personal Liability / Personal Umbrella, Watercraft, Inland Marine, Flood / Wind / Hail, Quoting & Rating, Recreational VehiclesManagement & Rating Systems: Agency Matrix, TurboRater – will train on both (if needed)Computer Skills: MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe, Windows 10Languages: English
