πŸ“‹ Role Overview & Responsibilities

Human Resource Dimensions has been engaged to place an HR Business Partner for a client in Atlanta (Buckhead), Georgia. This will be an onsite role.

This HR Business Partner position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

This individual is responsible for supporting our client's markets and corporate functions in onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, backup for benefits administration, and training and development across all company operations.

In addition to resolving customer (management and employee) problems/ issues, this individual must have the ability to recognize β€œbig picture” opportunities for process improvement, identify the proper course of action, and partner with the field and corporate to manage the change from start to finish.

The HRBP must have strong attention to detail, organization, and project coordination skills and can multi-task priorities and assignments. Must be able to work independently, and have strong communication and relationship-building skills. Must have HRIS experience as well as advanced level computer skills in MS Office Suite. Must have the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Must be competent and confident in interactions with all levels of employees, customers and vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Employee RelationsAdvise managers on HR regulations, practices, and Company policies and procedures.Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues (including complaints from Compliance Hotline). Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.Support, counsel, and strategize with managers on employee and/or performance issues to help ensure actions are appropriate.Consult with HR leadership and operations management regarding employee discipline, performance concerns, and terminations to ensure fair and consistent application of client practices.Document all employee relations issues thoroughly/timely and update employee files.As requested by VP of HR or Legal, conduct the full lifecycle of investigations, including witness interviews, compiling documentation, providing information to internal and external counsel, and working towards a resolution. Participate in hearings as needed.Strategize with managers and recommend actions to address issues or negotiate/ resolve conflicts.Conduct Mid-Year and Annual Reviews/ Goal setting exercises.

Onboarding/Offboarding:Coordinates offer letters in conjunction with recruiter or staffing vendors.Creates correspondence regarding offers, promotions, transfers, and separations (offer letters, termination letters, separation notices, and other correspondence, etc.).Works with managers and recruiter to develop job descriptions.Partners with recruiter to implement creative sourcing strategies to identify best-in-class talent.Conducts exit interviews and analyzes feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.Coordinates new hire, transfer/promotional, and separation processes for payroll purposes, ensuring all data and signatures are obtained.Work closely with Payroll to ensure employee data is updated timely and accurately in the UKG HR System.Serves as a backup to the recruiter who manages and posts job openings through UKG HR System and other sites (LinkedIn, etc.).Serve as a backup to the HR Assistant who manages the pre-employment process (drug screen, background check, credit checks) and follow up to ensure all is completed timely.

Other Responsibilities:Serves as a backup to the Benefits Administrator.Conducts annual I-9 audit.Processes industry surveys and participates in benchmarking studies in conjunction with VP of HR.Participates in company-wide committees or initiatives.Identifies opportunities to improve workflow and/or enhance HR service delivery.Assists in creating and managing employee relations events.Creates and delivers presentations to management and staff on a variety of HR-related programs.Maintains awareness of federal, state, and local laws and regulations to ensure compliance with reporting requirements and changes in employment regulations.Provides a high level of customer service and analytical skills to assess effectiveness and feasibility.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management or Business Administration strongly preferred.4-7 years of dynamic experience in all aspects of Human Resources required.Minimum of 3 years of employee relations (including workplace investigations) experience required.Prior experience in supporting both hourly and salaried positions is required.Prior experience in benefits administration is strongly preferred.Prior experience in UKG HR System is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to independently analyze data, formulate conclusions and summarize findings.Ability to conduct research in varied topic areas using multiple information channels.Advanced Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to learn and apply company policy, internal HR procedures, and regulatory guidelines within the scope of duties.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must possess strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of operations.Need to perform responsibilities with an acute sense of urgency to meet the needs of others; respond to solve problems; willing to accept a variety of tasks associated with this position.Demonstrate sound business ethics; consistently comply with organizational values; protect confidential information.Able to clearly express ideas; present verbal information in a straightforward manner; ask questions in order to open channels of communication; listen to understand the perspective of others.Ability to travel as occasional travel may be required.
