The Occupational Therapist 2 delivers services that are designed to enhance the physical and psychosocial functioning of the individual. All services are initiated and provided under the direction of a plan of treatment established by a physician.

The Occupational Therapist 2 conducts initial evaluation of patient to assess needs for service and to establish realistic goals. Administer treatment program prescribed by physician. Teach activities of daily living. Provides training in proper use of prosthetic devices and adaptive equipment. Instructs other members of the health care team in maintaining therapeutic, creative and self-care activities. Provides appropriate documentation of services in keeping with Agency policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allies Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy AssociationCurrently licensed as an Occupational Therapist in TXRecent clinical experience in Occupational TherapyCurrent CPR certificationValid Driver's License, car insurance and access to an automobileThis role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.Associates working in the State of Florida will need ACHA Level II Background clearanceMust be detailed orientedMust have excellent written and verbal communication skillsSensitivity to cultural diversityStrong customer service skillsMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
