We are embarking on an ambitious journey to implement a new Member Administration Platform and further our evolution towards a customer-centric operating model. As a member of the Member Administration Platform team you will help us transform our enrollment process and ensure the highest level of care for our customers. This team will have a large focus on technology modernization but also a focus on culture and operations – to embrace modern cloud-based technologies and engineering, agile ways of working & Agile methodologies, DevOps, and a culture that is focused on enterprise leadership, our customers and our associates.

The Senior Product Owner is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The Senior Product Owner work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

This role of the Senior Product Owner will be organized within a SAFE (Scaled Agile Framework) release train. The Product Owner owns, maintains and prioritizes the product backlog for the team. They share the product vision and works closely with the Business Owners, Principle Product Manager, Release Train Engineer and Delivery Manager to ensure the team delivers value to the business.

This position will work with key business and IT partners to develop strategic plans for the technologies impacting all Lines of Business enrollment portals. This individual is a self-starter; with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities without being provided explicit direction. Strong presentation skills, analytic skills and a passion for improving consumer experiences using technology are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

Accountable for the product backlog and prioritization of user stories with team members as per the vision set by the Principle Product ManagerCreate business features and stories within JIRA AlignPractical understanding of SAFE principles and practicesShares and decomposes Features into user stories (non-technical)Develop a deep understanding of the customer and product needsRecognized voice of the business to the teamWorks closely with Product Manager to represent capabilities and features at team levelBusiness requirements are represented in the product backlogEnsures traceability between requirements to Features to user storiesReview of test cases against user stories acceptance criteriaPeriodically re-prioritize the Product Backlog based on customer feedback, market changes and business priority as communicated by the Product ManagerFormally accepts the user stories once all acceptance criteria are met and demo-edActively participates in Product Backlog grooming sessions, retrospectives, defect management and project team’s release planning sessionsAccessible for the team to answer questions, and during Sprint planning sessions, and Daily Scrum Owns the continual acceptance criteria for business value story user stories, which is Demo-ed by the team

Required Qualifications

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$93,000 - $128,000 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
