SAP Production Clerk

The SAP Production Clerk position is working for one of our Specialty Chemical clients located in Clear Lake, TX. This is a contract position that is expected to last 12+ months. The SAP Production Clerk is an on-site position requiring candidates to live within daily commuting distance of the client's facility located in Clear Lake, TX.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining SAP records related to plant maintenance, updating and tracking maintenance department systems, coordinating with site warehouse for material management, and providing office support to the Maintenance Manager. You will also assist in financial analysis, invoice follow-up, and cost tracking. Additionally, you will support site maintenance managers in expediting deliverables, tracking progress, and facilitating coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proficiency in SAP system, and the ability to analyze financial data effectively.

Assist by maintaining SAP records related to plant maintenance, as appropriate. Utilize SAP system to accurately maintain and TECO work orders. Update and Track maintenance department systems, main cost data, Contractor data into SAP system. SAP system – Plant Maintenance & Material management work order processing. Co-ordination with site warehouse on material management Providing support with office related tasks for the Maintenance manager. Follow up with accounting Dept. or Vendor for any missing or delayed invoices. Helping management make important decisions based on costs and benefits. Providing support to the Site Maintenance Managers, including expediting of deliverables by deadline, tracking receipt, Invoices, and progress of deliverables, and proper filing in company repository when complete. Gathering and analyzing financial data and investigating variances with actual cost. Preparing detailed reports periodically. Tracking financial processes and transactions and monitoring spending. Tracking costs of material, labor, and inventory. Suggesting cost-reducing or profitable solutions. Supporting the Maintenance staff by facilitating coordination such as reporting on analytics, arranging meetings. Provide assistance & inter-site co-ordination on Cross application time sheets (CATS) with Maintenance managers. Provide assistance to create Requisition, material & service receipt notes etc. in SAP system.

Qualifications:Skills/ Knowledge Required

Ability to prioritize and work in a challenging environment to meet all deadlines and willingness to perform all assigned tasks. Proficient with MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook. SAP experience Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Able to work across multiple teams and different leadership styles. Education /Qualification – Minimum High school diploma with associate courses related to cost accounting & basic chemical industry knowledge (High school with 5+ years of experience in relevant area). Basic SAP Plant maintenance knowledge is must. Previous experience working in a manufacturing or chemical facility. Live within daily commuting distance of Clear Lake, TX.
