Real Estate Paralegal

Long-standing property management firm in Oyster Bay seeking a Paralegal to primarily handle tenant/landlord matters. This will include maintaining rent rolls, court calendars, drafting petitions and affidavits of service, drafting and following warrants, petitions, adjournments and stipulations, and answering small claims complaints. Particularly seeking an experienced Paralegal with exposure to tenant/landlord law, 5-14 day notices and warrants. This on-site, in-office position will work a Monday-Friday schedule, 8a-5p, supporting property management operations for properties located in the Long Island and Queens area.

Position Specifics

Maintain rent rolls to determine non pay Maintain court calendar for all court matters, including Landlord/Tenant Draft Petitions and Affidavits of Service for Landlord Tenant court Draft and follow warrants petitions, adjournments, stipulations Answer Small Claims complaints Coordinating Insurance claim investigations

Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, and Excel, Yardi or Skyline helpful English/Spanish language preferred Detail-oriented, reliable Exceptional organizational and communication skills Ability to multi-task fast paced environment Ability to work independently and efficiently
