The Opportunity
Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Director of Standards & Optimization to join our Global Franchise and Owner Relations Group. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader franchise, corporate operations, and brand teams, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role
Responsibilities include general oversight of operational brand standards across all Hyatt brands with franchised hotels open today and within the development pipeline. The role will also be a key spokesperson for hotel-level operational pain points and a conduit between the field and corporate teams. This includes preparation, review, and testing of new operational procedures, operating systems, and strategic initiatives to drive guest and owner preference for Hyatt.Aspects of the role include, but are not limited to
Setting minimum operational procedures for all hotel functions impacting the brand experience.Representing hotel operations as they pertain to Hyatt’s global quality assurance program.Must drive adoption and usage of Hyatt’s mandated operating systems and initiatives.Responsible for planning and executing all franchise portfolio-related innovations specific to hotel operations.Will ensure all new initiatives and programs are thoughtful as they relate to operating costs and impact on the guest experience.
Qualifications
Experience Required
10+ years of experience working within the hospitality sector working at both the unit level and corporate level. Cross-functional project management resulting in procedural activation.Has led multiple projects specific to brand development and definition.Design Thinking methodology and practical application.Proven ability to identify, articulate, and communicate recommendations to senior management.
Experience Preferred
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)Understanding and firsthand experience with Hyatt’s operating systemsModerate knowledge of Microsoft products including, but not limited to: SharePoint, Team, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
