Position Overview
We are working closely with an exciting biotech client who are currently seeking a Contract Senior Scientist to join their team on an initial contracting basis. As a w2 contract worker you are eligible to a benefits package including health/dental/vision/life insurance, a 401k vehicle and more. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing and qualifying cell-based potency assays, focusing on mRNA, AAV, and LNP release and characterization assays.
Pay rate: $50-60/hr. We encourage candidates of all levels to apply as there may be flexibility on final job title and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:Develop innovative cell-based assays to bolster process development and production lot testing.Execute method development, transfer, qualification, and in-house testing for final product and in-process materials.Author and review SOPs, study design and protocols, technical reports, and method transfer plans.Maintain meticulous documentation of scientific experimental plans, data, and reports, adhering to Good Documentation Practice.Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and SOPs.Present analytical data reports clearly and concisely to senior management, highlighting test performance metrics and trends.Qualifications:Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree preferred, in a cell and Molecular biology-related field.Minimum of five years of closely related industry experience in cell-based assay development and qualification.Hands-on expertise in tissue culture and cell-based assays (including general tissue culture, cell banking, cell proliferation, electroporation, transfection, transduction, flow cytometry, AAV, and ELISA).Experience and knowledge in gene and cell therapy, mRNA/LNP, CRISPR/Cas technology preferred.Join our client in their mission to transform lives through ground-breaking science.
