Senior Cyber Security Engineer

The Cyber Security Engineer 3 is responsible for creating and documenting a secure computing environment that protects against unauthorized access modification or destruction.

What you will be doing:Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledgeUse security tools and resolve security complex issues to defeat complex threats. Use vulnerability assessments to ensure that systems are protected from known and potential threats; perform acquisition and vendor risk assessmentsDesign, implement, and maintain security solutions that protect or govern information needs of the organizationRespond to and resolve complex reported security incidents; provide details of security incidents for escalationsMonitor systems for anomalies, disruption and respond accordinglyCreate, maintain, and modernize security processes, policies, documentation, and instructionsConduct security vulnerability research in areas relevant to the company and provide recommendations needed on imminent threats discussed within the cyber security communitySupport team in establishing and enforcing security complex standards including the build and maintain recovery procedures for systems to ensure our active and relevant controls workAssist in the development and design of security policies ranging from account management, password/key management to vulnerability/threat assessmentEvaluate and recommend new or replacement security technologies for purchaseMentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; may provide feedback to leadership on technical abilities of teamComply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy

What will make you successful:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceSignificant experience as an IT Security Administrator within private, public, and hybrid cloud environmentsSignificant experience with Microsoft Operating systems and productsSignificant experience with Unix Operating systemsExperience with automation tools and security toolsExperience with anti-malware, file integrity monitoring and data loss prevention toolsSignificant experience with applying security fundamentals and networking conceptsCISSP, GIAC or other security certificationsCOMP TIA Security certification or equivalent experienceStrong collaboration skills applied successfully within team as well as with other teamsStrong oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tactStrong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skillsAble to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environmentDriven to learn and stay current professionallyStrong attention to detailStrong knowledge and understanding of security fundamentals and networking conceptsUp to 10% travel time requiredBased on individual states’ employment laws, the following details are to comply with the relevant salary posting requirements: base salary range of $80,800-121,200 and eligible for bonus and benefits What you can expect nextHyland Recruiters thoroughly review every application and will contact you within 1 to 2 weeks regarding next steps.
