📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Lead Hardware Engineer will work as a member of the R&D team to design and build low power electronics to assist with the safety and efficiency of Hyundai Translead’s van trailer product lines. The successful candidate will have experience with electronics development, sensors, communication, and circuit design.
Essential FunctionsDesign and build custom mixed signal electronic hardware (e.g. DACs, ADCs, FPGAs and microcontrollers)Research advancements in technology to provide cutting-edge solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure program successAnalog/digital circuit design, analysis, component selection, and debugging of miniature mixed-signal devicesDesign system electronics. including component selection and multi-layer PCBsParticipate in all aspects of the engineering life cycle of printed circuit board hardware products, including design, implementation, verification, and sustaining activitiesTest hardware in laboratory or electrophysiology settingsTesting and validation in the fieldOther duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field7 years of experience with hardware development, PCB layout, circuit design rulesExperience with analog and digital design and simulation and FPGA board and code designExperience with wireless communications hardware and protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Etc.)Background in prototyping, troubleshooting, and debugging circuit boards and assemblies including analog and digital electronics.Experience with communication technology such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, radio-frequency (RF) circuitry
