📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities

i3 Bank is seeking an Operations Specialist/Officer to provide support for all areas of the bank and ensures banking questions and operations issues are resolved accurately and in a timely manner. Operations is acutely aware of all bank products and services and acts as a resource both internally and externally. Sound analytical and problem resolution skills are required to balance, review and process reports for DDA items, official checks, endorsement verifications, fraud to include check kiting, wire transfers, and return items. Title and pay will commensurate experience.

Essential Functions

Set up new customers for business online banking and assist with troubleshooting any issues in the system.Build new loans in Navigator, including personal, mortgage and commercial loans.Conduct maintenance on new accounts, loans, information changes, new cards, new commitments to include putting them on the system, printing and mailing notices of changes.Add new accounts and customer changes to system and reviews maintenance to verify information.Scan CIP, DDA, Savings and Cd’s in customer account on Director application.Provide support for Retail regarding banking questions, loans, accounts, duplicate and non-post items.Responsible for assisting in customer service calls regarding online banking, mobile banking, bill pay, business online banking, ACH file origination and mobile deposits.Execute wire transfers.Respond to inquiries in the bank’s “info” email inbox.Review ATM reports for non-processed transactions, ATM exceptions, and balance ATM Settlement account.Approve mobile deposits and check ACH file verifications daily.Write detailed procedures with screenshots for the Operations processes.Create Excel spreadsheets for balancing and for each customer in our BSA moderate risk assessment.Process ATM and Mastercard debit card orders, card capture requests and re-orders for expiring cards.Provide support for Operations Officers, coverage for Operations and completes special projects and services as assigned.

Provide backup and coverage for:Process and review all reports for ACH exceptions, returns, audits, transfers, check adjustments, large dollar return notifications, currency orders and any other requests as needed.Process all NSF, non-posted transactions and stop payment transactions daily and prepare notification to customers and all related entries as needed.Daily balancing of the official bank account (Fed and Cornerstone) and official checks identifying errors and making necessary reconciliations. Process daily tickets for incoming and outgoing returns, encoding, duplicate items and “due from account.”Perform daily entries and month end processing for MPF.

Job RequirementsThese specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position.Minimum of 3-5 years operations and/or banking experience required.Minimum 3-5 years of experience with banking software and an understanding of FiServ systems and particularly Business Process Manager preferred.Knowledge of banking operations, reconciliation and balancing and the ability to research when out of balance.Familiarity with CTR, SAR, OFAC, debits and credits, and multiple systems, software and apps.Strong time management and organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and presentation skills – ability to work closely and collaboratively with people at all levels in the department and within the organization.Strong analytical thinker and detail oriented with the ability to proactively identify issues and assist in resolution.Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).Knowledge of both the ACH Rules and Procedures as well as Debit Cards as it relates to returns, adjustments and rules.
