Underwriting Support Account Manager (Inland Marine and Commercial Property)

IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for an Underwriting Support Associate Account Manager (Inland Marine and Commercial Property) located in our Alpharetta, Georgia office location. The specific title for this role (e.g. Associate, Senior) will be commensurate with the experience level of the selected candidate.

Account Managers provide overall day-to-day customer service and support to underwriters and will act as a liaison between the organization and agents, working closely to ensure needs are being met. The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing and applying computer, organizational and professional written and verbal communications skills to accurately assemble policies and meet deadlines. Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday,

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Underwriting/Business partners to ensure new business/renewal deadlines are met. Enters schedules into proprietary rating systems.Prepares account service-related documents such as proposals and other client communications and correspondence.Assists in renewal process, reviewing for accuracy and making requested renewal changes.Reviews Policies, Endorsements, and Reporters for accuracy and compliance.Follows up with agencies on policy subjectivities and other missing Underwriting information.Retrieves loss cost reports and other various property rating reports as needed for Underwriter.Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must have

High School graduate or equivalent Equivalent is defined as having 2 years of relevant insurance experienceKnowledge of basic mathematics and problem-solving techniquesStrong keyboarding and PC skills.Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.Must be detail and action oriented in a fast- paced and deadline driven environmentAbility to organize, set and maintain priorities.To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.

Preferred to Have

Associate degree is preferred Underwriting support experience preferred.Working knowledge of ISO and Commercial Lines Manual preferred.
