Intro Paragraph

We are seeking to add an experienced Solar Engineering Specialist to our dedicated, diverse and exciting team of professionals. In this role, you will be the go-to person on all topics related to the production and design of solar and storage power plants, in addition to being the subject matter expert (SME) on electrical systems and major equipment. This is a very hands-on role which requires someone with proven experience in modelling and designing with PVsyst, AutoCAD and other tools to identify and optimize plant production.

Candidates with hands-on experience modeling and defending albedo effects are especially encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate has 2-8 years of experience with PV and BESS System Design.

Your Job

Creating electrical drawings for utility and commercial-scale solar and storage projects, including preliminary to advanced electrical one-line diagrams, plant layouts and conducting batch simulations and PVsyst analysis.Optimize energy models using different weather resources and report sensitivities around most influential parameters in the project pro-forma.Have a good understanding of NEC Codes and keep up to date with emerging technologies.Coordinate proposal development and deliverables amongst the various teams involved in responding to RFP's.Establish and maintain database of equipment and modeling tools, including PV modules and associated .pan files and inverters.Represent the company at development meetings and play an active role in augmenting our Power Analytics team.Actively follow technical and regulatory trends that may impact the electricity marketsFamiliar with Battery Energy Storage Systems sizing, technologies, and use cases.

Your profile

Must reside and be eligible to work in the United StatesMinimum of 2 years of experience modeling solar power plant production.In depth experience with PVsyst, AutoCAD, manual drafting, and electrical line drawings
