Junior Java Developer

As an intern, you be exposed to the design, development, maintenance, and support of critical and highly visible platforms for ICE. You will work under the guidance of a more senior engineer on an existing product team to develop real-world skills. The ideal candidate must be results-oriented, self-motivated, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a temporary position that will last approximately 10 -12 weeks.

Responsibilities

Participate in the design, architecture, and planning of technology solutions to meet the business needParticipate in the development of new methods, procedures, processes, or systemsCollaborate with team members and stakeholdersCreate comprehensive unit tests for new development itemsAdhere to coding style guidelines and development best practices

Knowledge And Experience

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related fieldSolid problem-solving and analytical skillsGood attitude and eager to learnExperience in an object-oriented programming language such as Java or C++Good understanding of data structuresBasic understanding of multi-threaded processing / concurrencyBasic understanding of security concerns for web-based applicationsBasic understanding of SDLCAbility to work in a team environmentEffective communication skillsExperience with Git preferred
