Senior Business Analyst

This role will be part of a team of software developers responsible for building and maintaining global corporate tools to support various teams throughout the organization.  This position requires technical proficiency as well as an eager attitude, professionalism, and solid communication skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with other internal groups to gain insights into existing business challenges, translate business and functional requirements into technical implementation for the automation of existing processes and the development of new applications Analyze and document the current and proposed business processes, workflows, and business requirements. Document detailed user stories that effectively captures business needs Define clear and unambiguous acceptance criteria that serve as a benchmark for when a user story is considered complete. Prioritize and validate requirements to align with project goals and objectives. Handover the project requirements to the developers for design and implementation. Collaborate with the development team to design solutions that meet business needs. Prepare and present proposals and/or solutions to management and stakeholders Oversee projects from specification gathering, development, QA, user acceptance testing, and deployment to production Identify potential risks and issues that may impact the project and propose mitigation strategies. Keep requirements documentation up to date. Manage and document changes to requirements throughout the project's lifecycle. Reconcile conflicting requirements with stakeholders Ensure that the final software product aligns with business objectives and is of high quality. Conduct UAT demonstrations and training sessions for tools developed by the team Seek opportunities for process improvement and share insights to enhance the software development lifecycle. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts and team members.

Knowledge And Experience

BS degree in technology, engineering, or equivalent experience 3+ years’ experience as a business analyst with emphasis on Software Development Must have an excellent understanding of Software development lifecycle model Must have expertise in writing user stories and acceptance criteria A basic understanding of web applications, data structures, HTML Data analysis skills and competence in MS Word and Excel Strong communication skills Ability to multitask and work independently on multiple projects Minimal travel up to 10%

Preferred

Familiarity with Web Application Architecture (HTTP, Client/Server, HTML, JavaScript) Experience with ServiceNow, Salesforce, or SharePoint Experience with SQL and Database Technologies (SQL Server, MySQL) Experience with Web Services / Web APIs including both SOAP and REST Financial industry expertise

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
