Senior Program Manager

Overview

Job Purpose

The Senior Technical Program Manager will support the Product Program Management organization drive multiple concurrent, high visibility engineering and service operations programs for ICE Mortgage Technology. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, collaborative, and can be the watchdog and strong program manager for the releases across multiple product development teams. They will ensure governance around the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and practices, and put adequate controls in place, while helping to provide proactive outbound communication, etc. They will be the proactive voice working very closely with all stakeholder teams to improve customer satisfaction from an Engineering and Operational standpoint. Reports to Product Program Management leadership.

Responsibilities

Develop and own cross-functional technical program plans supporting key initiatives and products Work closely with Product, Engineering Quality and Operations to develop end to end comprehensive and actionable roadmapsIdentify and manage cross-functional dependencies between programs and lead/ facilitate necessary conversations Support the Scrum teams with monitoring schedule deviations, velocity and assisting in the development of corrective action plans at the program levelPartner with the internal Product Management organization to drive requirements and work with other teams to continuously interact with stakeholders to set expectations, review objectives and coordinate resources across the individual projectsOwn and deliver the program and initiative level reportingWork with Release Management organization to ensure the product and engineering teams are aligned with the release model for predictable releasesManage, track, and regularly communicate on-time delivery of multi-phased programs to different levels ranging from cross functional teams to ExecutivesWork closely with the team of technical Program Managers, Product Managers and key engineering teams across the company to successfully drive the programs through various phases of Planning, Execution, Production Readiness and Post Production program healthResponsible for managing successful delivery of program releases into production on agreed schedules. Facilitate continuous improvement of the policies, process, practices and templates associated with stage-gate processMaintain dashboards in JIRA, Excel and Confluence providing real-time visibility across projects and product lines

Knowledge And Experience

7+ years of overall program management experience, with 4+ years of project or program management experience at an enterprise software or IT companyThorough understanding of project/program management techniques, methods, and industry project management best practicesAbility to manage multiple enterprise level/high traffic projects, meet deadlines, interface with different company business unites and work in a fast-paced technology driven environmentKnowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and various Agile frameworksStrong, independent leader, who is a self-starter and a proven team player in a high achievement-oriented environmentStrong understanding of product complexitiesAdvanced experience using project management tools like JIRA, Excel, and Confluence preferredAbility to interact effectively with executive levelsKnowledge of financial services, mortgage technology, or mortgage industry preferredStrong understanding of product complexitiesExperience mentoring junior level staffExcellent written and oral communicationsPMP or other related PMI certifications a plusBachelor's or Master’s degree in a technical field, MBA a plus
