My client has a high technical bar and they look for engineers with the ability to talk at length about the ins and out of IAM. The more technical you are, the better you will be for this role. It’s great knowing high level concepts but for this role you really need to understand the technical details (WHY you would do something). This role requires an IAM Engineer with extensive experience implementing specific tools.
It’s important that you have deployed systems, worked with developers and systems engineers and have experience in more than one OS, as my client operates Windows, Linux and Mac.
They don’t currently have an IAM Engineer in the security organization and you will be in charge of building out what IAM should look like at the firm.
This isn’t a junior hire, it’s for an IAM Engineer with deep technical and implementation expertise and they are tool agnostic and open to diverse IAM tool experience.
In addition to the above, automation play a big part in the security team and you will need to be proficient in at least one programming language.
