Senior Claims and Litigation Supervisor, Medical Malpractice

The Illinois Health and Hospital Association seeks a Senior Claims and Litigation Supervisor, Medical Malpractice responsible for the management of medical professional liability claims and litigation for IHA affiliates which include the Illinois Provider Trust, Illinois Risk Management Services and Medical Alliance Insurance. Manages the professional and general liability claims for assigned healthcare systems, hospitals and physicians. Responsible for case strategy and oversight of case action plan in collaboration with defense counsel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong service orientation and desire to be an integral part of the medical malpractice claims and litigation team in providing excellent claims service to healthcare systems and providers navigating the challenging medical professional liability environment. Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of prior claims or litigation experience required. Juris Doctor with medical malpractice litigation experience preferred. Knowledge of Illinois law and insurance principles a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must possess and exercise analytical and critical thinking skills and be a team player who can manage multiple projects.
