Account Manager - Construction

What You'll Do

We are seeking an Account Manager to join our Property & Casualty Construction lines team in Wichita, KS! This person will serve as the day-to-day contact for all client requests within a book of business (primarily Mid-Market accounts OR Emerging accounts) with direction from the Account Executive and prepares all relevant renewal materials from premium and loss summaries, exposures, coverage comparison, and premium and rate statements.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Partner with Account Executives on client interactions, negotiations, technical analysis, and program design and support with new client on-boardingBuild ability to anticipate upcoming needs and changes through client or underwriter communications or industry changesAssist in the creation of marketing submissions and manage ongoing negotiations with carriersReceive quotes, review for accuracy and desired coverages, terms, pricing from submission, generate and populate the proposals, and send to Account Executive for completion/reviewReceive policies, send instructions to the applicable Center of Excellence representative, and keep Center of Excellence team abreast of any changes that occur during negotiationsPerform premium allocations, surplus lines template preparation, Certificate of Insurance request template preparation and master approval, on-demand certificates, basic contract reviews, policy endorsements, resolving coverage and premium discrepancy issues, and audits on expired and/or non-renewed policiesOther duties that fall within scope of the jobSupport and demonstrate IMA's core valuesValue and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates

You Should Have

High school diploma required5+ years of insurance or professional work experience requiredAbility to work within AMS and maintain data completeness standardsRequired to obtain property and casualty license within 60-90 days of hire, unless already licensedExperience with MS Office products required (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)Some travel required (up to 20% depending on book of business & industry)Bachelor's degree preferred
