What You’ll Do

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to

Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core valuesValues and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associatesProvides recommendations on ways to continuously improve the IMA people experience, taking into consideration data received from new hire and exit surveysResponsible for building and maintaining successful relationships with leaders throughout assigned market, including Presidents, in order to gain understanding of business goals and opportunities for partnershipContinually monitors employment law and legal requirements for their assigned market(s) and administers HR policies and procedures within assigned client groupsEnsures company values are communicated and understood at all levels, provides clarity for the behaviors expected of all associates to fully engage in a mission-driven, high-performance cultureHelps lead risk management for more complex personnel issues within assigned market(s), working with Sr. HR Business Partners for guidance as neededSupports the Talent Acquisition team by providing insight to hiring needs and interviews candidates when requestedWorks with internal HR associates to ensure proper onboarding and transition practices throughout assigned market(s)Prepares appropriate documentation for any promotions, salary adjustments, title changes, and transfers, ensuring data integrity and proper system/financial codingEngages in conversations with managers on workforce planning and career development within teamsGives guidance to managers regarding most compensation issues, sharing data, best practices, and company philosophy as neededPartners with managers regarding hiring needs, opens requisitions for applicable area and obtains proper approval levels throughout the organizationSupports Corporate Benefits by keeping them informed of any medical leaves and/or accommodations needed, and answers benefit questions as needed, directing associates to Corporate Benefits for high level or complicated questions and circumstancesSupports IMA’s performance management process by engaging with associates and managers, coaches on goal creation and monitoring, providing consistent and direct feedback, and documenting performance conversations as neededTakes action on employee relations complaints and manages them appropriately according to legal compliance, as well as full and thorough investigation work as neededPartners with HR Talent Management to support and drive professional development and manager training and coachingWorks with managers to write or revise job descriptions as neededPerforms special projects and duties as needed or assignedMust be present in the office in-person a minimum of 3 days per week

You Should Have

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but are not limited to

4 to 7 years of similar or related experienceBachelor’s degree preferredExperience with MS Office products requiredDemonstrates coaching and consulting skills with a history of collaborating with leaders in a geographically dispersed organizationStrong level understanding of federal and state laws regarding employment practicesGrowing knowledge of the insurance industryStrong organizational and time management skillsExceptional attention to detail and high-quality standardsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to be clear, diplomatic, and persuasivePossesses sound judgment, maturity, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

In addition to our robust benefits package, the hiring range for this position is $90,000 - $114,000.  While this is the targeted range, final offer amounts will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s geographic location, prior relevant experience, and their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
