Compensation: $20-$25 hourly

Sales and Use Tax Accountant
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Sales and Use Tax Accountant to join their team!
Responsibilities
Researching, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling transactions Sales and use tax compliance, and monthly journal entries, including reviewing invoices for use tax, in house returns, and gathering data for monthly compliance Timely and accurately complete the day-to-day work activates of compliance team to ensure the monthly compliance cycle is completed in a cost effective, accurate and timely manner Serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed for the purchasing and payment of materials and services Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. Reconcile annual fixed asset schedules for property tax compliance. Research and interpret tax statutes and regulations
Required Qualifications & Experience
1-3 years of experience in sales and use tax compliance Strong understanding of state and local tax laws and regulations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and working knowledge of accounting software, such as QuickBooks. The ability to consistently meet deadlines and to work well under pressure. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Oil and gas industry experience An associate degree in accounting.
