Below is the job description for the position:Position Title - Sr. Agile Product OwnerLocation - Washington, DC (Remote with occasional travel)Duration- 12 Months (with possible extension)

SUMMARY OF DUTIESAs a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our products and services, following the values, principles, and success patterns. You will be a member of with a cross-functional team and work with Product Management, Architecture, and other stakeholders to help define, prioritize, and validate the solution under development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSTypically a minimum of 8+ years as an agile product owner and a bachelor’s degree and equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 5+ years related work experience.Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an agile environmentDemonstrated understanding of agile methodologies and the SAFe frameworkAbility to prioritize and make data-driven decisionsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExperience with Jira Software, Confluence, FigJam, Jira Align, AgilityHealth

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESRequired: SAFe 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager Certification

Preferred: Experience working with products or organizations supporting critical data and analytics, in areas such as enterprise data catalogs, data quality analytics and quality control design, data governance, data management, and/or data literacy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProduct Ownership: Act as the primary voice of the customer and point of contact for the product, responsible for defining, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog.Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy,ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.Prioritization: Prioritize features and user stories based on business value, customer feedback, and technical feasibility, ensuring the team works on high-priority items. Requirements Gathering: Elicit and document product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to provide a clear understanding for development teams.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, customers, and development teams, to ensure everyone is aligned with the product vision.Agile Framework: Implement and champion the principles of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), ensuring agile methodologies are followed.Roadmap Development: Contribute to a product roadmap that outlines the delivery schedule and milestones.Release Planning: Participate in release planning, including prioritization of features, sprint planning, and coordination of cross-team dependencies.Metrics and Analysis: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the product and identify areas for improvement.Product Delivery: Work closely with development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products on time.
