Hardware Firmware Engineer FPGA

Primary Responsibilities:Provide support from concept to production for hardware (H/W), including requirements analysis, electronic design, debugging, testing, and qualification.Conduct design, development, and testing of electronic H/W products, components, and subsystems.Develop detailed circuit board specifications, specifications at the Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and test plans.Create circuit card assembly (CCA) schematics, layout guidelines, and assist in CCA layout.Assist in component selection, procurement, and oversight of prototype hardware builds.Participate in concurrent engineering reviews and trade studies.Develop engineering design fixes and coordinate solutions.Maintain comprehensive record-keeping of design changes, debug status, H/W and S/W revisions.Conduct firmware (FW) development and debugging.Experience with graphics/video processing FPGA implementations.Familiarity with FPGA I/O bus designs including PCI, Ethernet, CAN, USB, RS-232/422/485, Xilinx SCC, and trusted bus macros.Preferably have experience with Xilinx ISE, EDK, Mentor Graphics Modelsim, and Altera/Quartus tools.Qualifications Sought:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering. Other technical degrees will be considered with relevant experience.1 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.Knowledge of Active Work Space - TeamCenter and other Digital Twin (DT) tools.Familiarity with Military Standards and Test Requirements is a plus.Proficiency in using engineering development and test tools.Must meet ASR requirements to work inside vehicles.May require occasional overtime and weekend hours to complete critical tasks.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.Excellent multitasking abilities.
