JOB DESCRIPTION
Solutions Architect (Databricks) - Cloud Computing EnvironmentWe are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of our Databricks project within a cloud computing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Databricks, cloud computing, and data engineering. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create scalable, efficient, and secure solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements.Top Qualifications:10+ years as a Solutions Architect: Demonstrated expertise, especially with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.Data Engineering and ETL Experience: Proficiency in designing and optimizing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions.Aptitude with Databricks and/or AI Projects: Familiarity with Databricks and its applications in artificial intelligence projects.Key Responsibilities:Solution Design and Architecture:Develop comprehensive solution architectures that leverage Databricks and cloud computing technologies to meet project requirements and business goals.Data Engineering and ETL:Design and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions using Databricks and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).Performance Optimization:Monitor and enhance the performance of data processing tasks, databases, and infrastructure within the Databricks platform.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and cloud architects to seamlessly integrate Databricks solutions within the broader cloud environment.Security and Compliance:Implement security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., data encryption, access control, audit logging).Troubleshooting and Support:Diagnose and resolve issues related to data processing, analytics, and cloud infrastructure within the Databricks environment.Documentation:Create and maintain detailed documentation of solution architectures, designs, and configurations for reference and team collaboration.Innovation and Best Practices:Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in Databricks, cloud computing, and data engineering. Continuously improve processes.Preferred Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Professional Experience:Proven track record as a Solutions Architect or in a similar role, with a strong focus on Databricks and cloud computing projects.In-depth understanding of Databricks, encompassing data engineering, data science, and machine learning capabilities.Cloud Platform Expertise:Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.Familiarity with cloud services related to data storage, compute, and networking.Programming Languages:Proficiency in Python, R, Scala, and SQL for data processing and analysis.Infrastructure as Code (IaC):Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.Problem-Solving Skills:Excellent analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.Communication and Collaboration:Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork across cross-functional groups.Certifications:Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Databricks certifications, are advantageous.
